Supabets app download: the short answer

Supabets distributes its Android app as an APK from its own download page, not through Google Play — the official download page does not list a Play Store entry. There is no iPhone app: the same official page states that the Supabets App is "not yet live on the Apple App Store" and is "coming soon", so iOS users work through the mobile site or a home-screen shortcut. Huawei devices are covered separately — Supabets' own instructions are to open AppGallery, search for "Supabets" and tap Install. Be aware that the published numbers for the Android build do not agree: Goal.com lists ~65 MB and Android 5.1+, BetMentor lists version 1.2 at 8.79 MB and Android 4.0+, and SportsBoom hedges with "about 9–65 MB, depending on the version". Supabets itself publishes no version number, no file size and no minimum OS on its download pages.

Every cell below comes from a named published source. Where sources conflict, both figures are shown rather than averaged — a single tidy number here would be a guess. "Not published" means Supabets does not state it and no review supplies it; treat it as a gap, not a zero.

How to install the Supabets APK on Android

To install the Supabets APK you download the file from the Supabets download page and allow your browser to install unknown apps — Google Play is not involved at any point, so there is no Play review and no Play auto-update. Run the checks in the last three steps before you tap Install; they are the only verification you get.

1. Open the Supabets download page in Chrome on the phone itself, not on a desktop.
2. Confirm the address bar shows a supabets.co.za domain before tapping anything.
3. Tap the Android / APK download button and wait for the file to finish downloading.
4. Open Settings → Apps → Special access → Install unknown apps, select Chrome and turn on "Allow from this source".
5. Open the downloaded .apk file from the Downloads notification or the Files app.
6. Check the file size shown before installing: published figures range from 8.79 MB to about 65 MB, so a file far outside that range is not the build any reviewer has seen.
7. Read the permission list Android shows at install and stop if it asks for SMS or contacts — a betting app has no use for either.
8. Tap Install, then open the app and log in with your existing Supabets account.
9. Turn "Allow from this source" back off in Settings once the install completes.
10. Keep the APK file, or bookmark the download page: without Play, every future update is a manual re-download.

iPhone and iPad: there is no app to download

There is no native Supabets app for iPhone. The official download page says the app is not yet live on the Apple App Store and is coming soon, so anything advertised as a Supabets iOS app on a third-party site is not from Supabets. What you can do is pin the mobile site to your home screen, which gives you a full-screen icon that behaves like an app.

1. Open Safari on the iPhone and go to the Supabets site.
2. Log in first, so the shortcut opens on a signed-in session.
3. Tap the Share button in the Safari toolbar.
4. Scroll the share sheet and tap "Add to Home Screen".
5. Rename the shortcut if you want, then tap Add.
6. Open the new icon from the home screen — it loads the site full-screen, without the Safari address bar.
7. Ignore any App Store result named similarly to Supabets: the store listing is not published by Supabets, and Goal.com confirms there is no native iOS app.

Huawei: install from AppGallery

Supabets is listed in Huawei AppGallery, which matters in South Africa because Huawei handsets sold since 2019 ship without Google Play — for those devices AppGallery, not Play, is the store. Supabets publishes no version number, minimum EMUI/HarmonyOS version or file size for the AppGallery build, so you only find out the size at the point of download.

1. Open AppGallery on the Huawei device.
2. Search for "Supabets".
3. Tap Install on the Supabets result.
4. Check the developer name shown on the listing before installing.
5. Open the app and sign in with your existing account.
6. If AppGallery returns no result in your region, use the APK from the Supabets download page and follow the Android steps above instead.

Is there a data-free version?

Data-free — zero-rated — access is a network-side arrangement, not an app feature. The bookmaker agrees with a mobile network that traffic to specific domains is not billed against your bundle, and the network applies that at its own gateway. It follows that a data-free claim is only meaningful when it names the network: "data-free on MTN" is a claim you can test, "data-free app" is not.

No data-free or zero-rated arrangement is stated on the Supabets download pages or in the reviews used to build this page. That is an absence of evidence rather than proof there is none, but the practical position is the same: assume the Supabets app and mobile site consume your normal data, and check with your own network before relying on anything else.

Two other points hold even where zero-rating exists elsewhere in the market. Zero-rating almost always covers the betting pages only — live video streams, adverts and third-party payment redirects usually still bill. And an APK download itself is billed: at the ~65 MB figure Goal.com gives, one install can cost more data than a week of placing bets.

App vs mobile browser

The betting markets, odds and cash-out are the same either way. The differences are all in delivery: how you get it, how it updates, and what the operating system will let it do.

Deposits and withdrawals in the app

The app uses the same cashier as the site: the same ZAR methods, the same account, the same verification state. South African bank transfers run through Capitec, FNB, Standard Bank, Absa and Nedbank, and a bank redirect opened from inside the app hands off to your banking app or browser exactly as it does on the mobile site. Common problems and what actually fixes them

The app installs but won't open. Check the OS first. Goal.com puts the minimum at Android 5.1+, while BetMentor and Football Whispers say Android 4.0+; if your handset sits between those, you are relying on the more optimistic source. Then check free storage — at the ~65 MB figure the app needs headroom beyond the install size to cache odds — and clear the app cache in Settings → Apps → Supabets → Storage before reinstalling.

The app never prompts to update. It will not. Without a Google Play listing there is no auto-update channel, so the version on your phone stays frozen until you go back to the Supabets download page and install a fresh APK over it. This is the single biggest practical drawback of the APK route, and it is also why old, stale copies of the file circulate on file-sharing sites. Download the replacement from Supabets, not from wherever you got the first one, and uninstall the old build if the new one refuses to install over it.

Login fails in the app but works in the browser. That points at a stored session rather than your credentials: clear the app's data (not just cache), reopen it and log in fresh.
